For-Chan:
Roy blushes as the warm coat drops around him. It's nice and smells
like Havoc and it's big enough to envelope him and even cover more of
his legs than the stupid shorts. "That's a lot of faith you have
there. I hope I can live up to it." He pulls the jacket close.
"I'll try and get this back to you, without meeting in mortal
peril."
Dark:
he waves a hand in dismissal. "no rush," he says.
he hears the kids coming. "guess you better go."
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "Thank you." He runs off, looking around for a
quiet secluded place to change back.
Dark:
when he finally shows up, he'll find that Havoc has calmed down the
students and is trying to usher them back to class.
For-Chan:
Roy finally managed to change back and
luckily his clothes were dry. He has to hide Havoc's coat though,
because it would be a little suspicious if he got caught with it.
He's really nervous about going back to class. It was odd that no one
seemed to recognize him, but he's dreading going back even more
because now that they're not so excited, they're bound to make the
connection. He walks back into the hall, looking around warily and
sees Havoc directing traffic. He can't help the blush that rises to
his cheeks.
Dark:
"back the class, back to class," Havoc kept saying even
when they'd stop him to yammer on about this and that. he turned his
head and saw Roy, smiling he waved him over. "c'mon, don't just
stand there. help me out!"
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "Get moving. This is
school not a super hero fan convention." He slips gratefully
into his teacher mode, moving kids along.
Dark:
no one gives him a second look. the kids whine, the teachers usher
and everyone treats Roy like Roy or Mr Mustang. not like the
Alchemist!
For-Chan:
He begins to calm down a little, but
he's still not sure what exactly is going on. He's definitely going
to have to try and get some information out of his grandmother.
Something's going on here. He manages to get the kids back to class,
but as he does, the bell rings and everyone floods out into the halls
again. As one excited class flows out, another rowdy class flows in
and he has to fight for the next two hours to get his last two
classes' attention. When he finally drags himself into the teacher's
lounge at the end of the day, he's exhausted from battling monsters
and wrangling teens.
Dark:
a cup of coffee is dropped down next to him. Havoc sits down heavily
next to him. apparently the blond is exhausted too.
For-Chan:
"Thanks," Roy says gratefully,
too tired to even be embarrassed. And despite saying he wouldn't
drink the swill again, he takes a big sip because he just needs the
caffeine.
Dark:
"long day." Havoc breathes out, recline as best he can in
the chair.
For-Chan:
"Yeah. They never calmed down after
that attack. I felt like I was in a zoo, not a school." Roy
sighs.
Dark:
"i wish we could have just ended the day." he sighs.
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "You'd think they would
have sent everyone home for safety reasons. Someone's just not using
their head."
Dark:
"actually our principal's evil," Havoc said in a low
voice.
For-Chan:
"Evil? Like, we need the Alchemist
to kick his ass evil? Or just in a human assinine sense?"
Dark:
"assinine," Havoc said grinning. "though i wouldn't be
against the Alchemist kicking his butt."
For-Chan:
"I think she has more important
things to worry about," he says, watching Havoc's reaction
closely.
Dark:
"yeah like monsters," he said. "where do you think
those monsters come from?"
For-Chan:
"I don't know." Another thing
he needs to quiz his grandmother on. "But I wish they'd stay
there."
Dark:
he blinked at Roy for a moment. "you... say that like you're the
one fighting them."
For-Chan:
"You don't wish they'd stay there?
They're dangerous. People can get seriously hurt. We're lucky no one
got hurt today."
Dark:
he blinked. "true. sorry. i was just refering to the tone of
your voice."
For-Chan:
"Well," he says, a little
nervously. "Obviously I'm not The Alchemist...I mean...the only
thing that's similar is our hair right?" He asks, going out on a
limb. "After all, I'm not a girl."
Dark:
he blinks. "well yeah and you don't look anything alike."
For-Chan:
"Exactly!" Roy says, maybe a
little too loudly. The fact that Havoc doesn't think they're the same
is too weird. It's good that he doesn't connect them, but it's
unsettling at the same time.
Dark:
"someone said you did?" Havoc asks, tilting his head
slightly to the side
For-Chan:
"No. I haven't even seen her. So
far, you're the only one who's met her."
Dark:
Havoc grins. apparently pleased being the only one. "cool."
For-Chan:
"I heard from the kids that you met
her again today?" He asks.
Dark:
his grin widens. "yeah. i saved her from a throng."
^_^
For-Chan:
"You saved the super hero? Mr.
Average Math Teacher?"
Dark:
his cheeks flushed. "sorta." >.> "shut up."
For-Chan:
Roy smiles. "You're really working
overtime to get her eh? Might want to think about that love letter
now."
Dark:
"i am not writing a love letter!" Havoc huffs. he gets
easily embarrassed apparently.
For-Chan:
"You're no fun." Roy says.
"Even super heros would appreciate love letters." He feels
a little weird to be talking about himself like someone else.
Dark:
"i'm a little to old for love letters." #>.>#
For-Chan:
"But not too old for a crush on the
local super heroine?"
Dark:
"exactly." he nods firmly. "and it's not a crush.
she's just very pretty."
For-Chan:
"So you don't have secret designs
of wining and dining her and taking her home for coffee?" Roy
nudges him.
For-Chan:
"Hope they're not wet ones, she may
not save you next time if she ever finds out." He says
innocently, picking up his coffee.
Dark:
Havoc just kicks Roy in the shin. "shut up."
For-Chan:
Roy spills the coffee in his lap. "Hey!"
He yelps. It may be sludge, but it's hot sludge. He quickly puts the
cup back down and stands up, looking around for a napkin.
Dark:
"shit! sorry!" he gets up and grabs some paper towels,
bring them back to him. "shit, i'm really sorry."
x.x
For-Chan:
"It's ok," Roy hisses. "It
was slightly below scalding on the burn scale." Roy takes the
paper towels and starts patting himself dry. How can he be a super
hero and come away unscathed from a fight but get burned by his
colleague in the safety of the staff room?
Dark:
"you're not burned?" he asked, worried.
For-Chan:
"I don't know and I'm not planning
on dropping my pants in front of you to see." Although he would
if Havoc asked...but he keeps that to himself.
Dark:
Havoc pulls him to his feet. "then go to the bathroom and
check."
For-Chan:
He nods. Holding his pants away from
him, he shuffles over to the staff restrooms and into a stall. Once
there, he drops his pants and checks for burns. His skin is red, but
it doesn't look very serious. He uses some toilet paper to try and
dry off some more, but when he emerges from the bathroom, it still
looks like he wet himself. -_-;;;
Dark:
"i'll give you a ride home," Havoc said from the door. he
looks guilty.
For-Chan:
"Thanks." Taking public
transportation now would be embarassing.
Dark:
"least i could do," he said giving Roy his suitcase. he
could use it to hide his wet spot.
For-Chan:
Roy holds the case in front of him. Now
the spot feels cold and disgusting. He just can't win with liquids
today.
Dark:
he leads Roy to his car. slides into the drivers side and pops open
the passenger's side. "where do you live?"
For-Chan:
"Not too far. I live in Crestwood
Estates," He says naming off a pretty fancy gated community.
Which might lead Havoc to wonder why Roy doesn't drive a big fancy
car to work.
Dark:
Havoc blinks. "really?"
For-Chan:
"Yeah. My father and I live with my
grandmother. She's....crazy."
Dark:
the cars moving smoothly towards it's destination now. "that's a
nice place."
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "Yes, but it's a little
sterile. I grew up in a much smaller house. We moved in with my
grandmother after my mother died, that's when she started going
batty."
Dark:
"batty?" Havoc asked, glancing towards Roy. he had a nice
profile, Havoc realize.
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "She's really not right
in the head. It's more than just being an eccentric old millionaire,
after my mother died, she just lost her grip on reality I guess you
could say."
Dark:
"that's sad. i'm sorry." he said honestly, his voice
low.
For-Chan:
"Yeah. She's a really great woman,
just out to lunch more often than not. My dad takes care of her and
helps run the family business a little from home."
Dark:
"what's the family business?" he asked. they were closing
in on their destination now.
For-Chan:
"A fashion empire. Even batty, my
grandmother can still blow them out of the water with her designs and
she has a lot of good people working for her." Roy smiles.
Dark:
"which is your house?" Havoc asked. "so why aren't you
working in the fashion industry?"
For-Chan:
"I thought about it. I even started
taking classes towards it, but I was much more interested in science
at the time. It made more sense than fashion. Fashion is a strange
beast indeed. Maybe after I've had my fill of kids, I'll go back to
it." He shrugs.
Dark:
he nods. "and which is your house?"
For-Chan:
"That white one with the family of
pink plastic flamingos by the fountain." He grins.
Dark:
"interesting...." he said slowly. his slows the car down
and parks at the curve.
For-Chan:
"Do you want to come in for a
drink? Something that isn't scalding hot...." He teases.
Dark:
he flushes. "er... sure."
For-Chan:
Roy gets out. "Follow me." He
goes up the long walk, around the fountain with it's flock of tacky
plastic flamingos and to the front door. He looks back to make sure
Havoc's following.
Dark:
Havoc is following. he's trying to take in everything at once. Roy so
didn't give him the impression of being... rich.
For-Chan:
Roy opens the door and pushes inside.
There is no assault of pushy servants. He drops his stuff in the
cluttered entryway and takes his shoes off as well. While the mansion
is large and grandoise, it definitely has the feeling of being lived
in along with a lot of down to earth humor inherent in its decor as
with the flamingos out front.
Dark:
Havoc removes his shoes and shuts the door behind him. "big."
he said as he looked around. but not oppressingly so.
For-Chan:
Roy nods. "C'mon, I'll leave you in
the living room while I change." He takes him down the hall and
into another large room, but again, not too bad. There's a nice big
television and an invitingly squishy looking leacher couch in front
of it. The floor is carpeted and there's pillows scattered around on
it like people lie on the floor. The pictures on the walls are all
family pictures. There's plants in various corners and knickknacks on
the bookshelves that are filled with paper back novels instead of the
usual pretentious hardcover books one would find in a library of the
rich. "Make yourself at home, I'll be right back."
Dark:
"okay," Havoc said and walked about. he made a beeline for
the pictures. he was curious!
For-Chan:
There's a whole bunch of pictures of
Roy's family, Roy when he was little, Roy with his family, Roy
dressed up as a princess ballerina...wait what? There's quite a few
of young Roy at ballet recitals and he's not dressed as a boy in all
of them. There's a few of karate competitions, but there's more
ballet.
Dark:
this couldn't all be forced upon Roy by the females in his family. so
did Roy want to do this? he wonders. but why ballet as a female? why
not ballet as a male... unless.... Havoc's not sure if his
assumptions were right but they were swiming in his head
anyway.
For-Chan:
Roy soon reappears wearing a faded
tshirt advertising pink bubble bath (Mr. Bubble!) and a pair of very
torn up jeans, in fact some suspiciously pink underwear are showing
through a few choice holes. He certainly doesn't dress like he's
rich....that's for sure. "Any preferences for your drink?"
(OMG! Can I fag him up anymore *dies laughing*)
Dark:
(i'm sure you're gonna try XDDDDD)
For-Chan:
(>_> who me? O:-) )
Dark:
so maybe his theories aren't that off. "um... water's fine."
Havoc said. it's not that he's uncomfortable with homosexuals. it's
just that he has no idea how to act around them since he doesn't have
many as friends.
Dark:
(yeah you XD)
For-Chan:
"What? No champagne?" He
smiles. "Most people ask for something ridiculously expensive.
You want that water to be Evian or something?" He teases.
Dark:
Havoc shakes his head, smiling. he decides to treat Roy like Roy.
"whatever water you got. i don't care if it's fancy."
^^
For-Chan:
"Gotacha, be right back. Don't get
lost while I'm gone." Roy ducks out again. When he returns, he
has a regular bottle of water and a can of soda for himself. He's not
alone either, an older woman is following him. She's a little shorter
than he is, but there's a strong family resemblance in the round face
and slightly slanted dark eyes. "This is my guest," he says
to the woman. She smiles. "Hello there handsome."
Dark:
Havoc grins. he walks over to her. "hello. i'm Jean Havoc."
^^;;;;
For-Chan:
"Hello, I'm Roy's crazy granny,
Rina." She offers him her hand. Roy taks the drinks to the
coffee table by the couch. "Don't try anything Grandma, he's too
young for you."
Dark:
Havoc grins. "don't listen to him. he's repressed."
^__^
For-Chan:
"Oh no honey, Roy is anything but
repressed." His grandmother laughs.
"I blame you
Grandma."
"Don't blame me dear, you wanted to be a
ballerina long before I dressed you up in drag and put you in a
pageant."
Dark:
Havoc pauses. "drag and pageant?" he hopes his surprise
isn't offensive.
For-Chan:
Roy sighs. "Yeah, when she decided
to branch out into children's wear, she used me as her guinea pig.
She made me all these fancy pageant dresses and entered me into the
local pageant."
"And he won too!" She grins. "And
he loved every minute of satin and lace. He's such a
hedonist."
"Grandma, please stop shocking him. Springing
this, plus you on him all at once might make him run away." He
is actually starting to worry that it might be too much. Maybe he
should have just put on more work clothes instead of his casual wear.
Dark:
Havoc shakes his head, maybe a little too fast since it makes him
heady. "no... no. it's fine. just... not what i expected."
x.x
For-Chan:
Rina pats Havoc's shoulder. "Take
him as he comes and you'll never regret it," she says quietly.
"He's special."
"What are you whispering over
there?" Roy walks over suspiciously.
"Nothing dear."
She waves at him. "You enjoy your company. Invite him for dinner
sometime." She says as he leaves the room before Roy can
interrogate her further.
Dark:
Havoc blinks after her. he's not sure what she meant exactly but
figures he'll do what she says anyway. he opens the bottle of
whatever. "thanks."
For-Chan:
"You're welcome. Sorry about her."
He goes and sinks onto the couch, pulling his can of soda closer and
popping it open.
Dark:
"no. don't be. she seemed nice." Havoc said.
For-Chan:
"She didn't say anything weird did
she? She does that sometimes." He's actually curious what she
might have said to Havoc. Some of her most random comments are
actually very valuable bits of insight and he's learned to collect
them and study them carefully.
Dark:
he shook his head. "nothing weird."
For-Chan:
"Well, you haven't run screaming
from the house yet...that's a good sign. Sorry if I sprung this all
on you a little fast."
Dark:
Havoc waves a hand in dismissal. "stop apologizing. all is
good."
For-Chan:
He nods. "Well, now that you know
more about me, you should tell me more about you. I feel at a
disadvantage here."
Dark:
Havoc rubs his head. "trust me, i'm no where near as
interesting. but, um, shoot." ^^;
For-Chan:
Roy shrugs. "Tell me anything, why
you decided to be a teacher? What sports you played as a kid? What's
your favorite movie? Regular things."
Dark:
"i thought teaching would be fun," he said. "and i had
nothing better to do. so teaching it was. i actually didn't play
sports as a kid. well not a lot. i liked fishing and kite flying
really."
For-Chan:
"Have any pets?" Roy sips his
soda, curling his legs up under him on the couch.
Dark:
"yeah, a dog. Spunky." he grins. "he's still a puppy.
a husky. i've got a fish tank with salt water fish too. they're
cute." ^_^
For-Chan:
"I have the pink flamingos out
front. My father has a cat around here somewhere, but he usually
keeps to my father's office."
For-Chan:
(Roy's magic animal is a plastic pink
flamingo.... XD)
Dark:
(oh you are terrible, woman XD)
For-Chan:
(oh better yet, we'll make it an
animated plushies ^_^;; )
Dark:
"yeah, i noticed the flamingos." Havoc actually hates those
birds. not because they're pink but because they're gross. but he's
not going to say it. "not your average pet."
For-Chan:
"They're not really mine. My
grandmother put them out to piss off the neighbors. We dress them up
around holidays." Roy laughs.
Dark:
Havoc laughs. "oh that's hilarious. did they look
annoyed."
For-Chan:
"Oh, they hate it. Obviously this
isn't the kind of neighborhood for pink lawn flamingos. They tried to
make a petition to get them off our lawn, but it's our lawn and they
couldn't do anything about it. Most of them don't talk to us anymore.
It's not much of a loss, believe me."
Dark:
"uptight, rich people." he shrugs. "who needs 'em."
